Kunsthalle Athena comprises of a series of various actions, events, talks toward the foundation of a flexible art centre in Athens with the aim to be established as a regular practice,-in a permanent location- an everyday stop offering moments for critical thinking within the activities of a public with diverse interests. Reflecting on the role of art institutions today, Kunsthalle Athena is for the moment a nomadic site that doesn’t simply display contemporary art but produces culture based on the creative sources of varied origins.


The project KUNSTHALLE ATHENA-THE BAR was initiated out of the need to create an open space for creativity and dialogue between artists, curators, and other experts, Athenian public, practitioners and scholars from around the world for a concise period of time.
